Insider Property Awards West Midlands 2021

It was a great honour to have received the Special Achievement Award at last nights Insider Property Awards West Midlands 2021. It was totally unexpected and for once I was nearly lost for words.

For me the award represents all the hard work, drive and vision we undertake collectively in both the Private and Public sector in creating the best possible places and spaces for the good people of Birmingham. I really couldn't do what I do without the support of my officers within Birmingham City Council but also the support of colleagues within the private sector that share the united vision for our Great City.

'Our Future City Plan' (OFCP) is the next exciting chapter of our journey. The OFCP framework to be launched in the new year will set out how the vision will be delivered.

With this will come great responsibility but I very much look forward to working with colleagues in realising that vision and creating a City that we can all be proud of for generations to come.

A 'BIG' shout out to Ian Griffin for convincing me to turn out for the event without telling me the reason why other than to have a good time.
