Inside Sydney South: Naz Amini
Naz Amini made the bold decision to leave behind her life in Iran and embark on a journey to a new and unfamiliar country, Australia. After travelling the world, she found herself drawn to the vibrant city of Sydney for its breathtaking scenery and laid back lifestyle.
Leaving her family and loved ones behind in Iran to start a new chapter was a dauting experience. But fate led her to the doorstep of Porsche Sydney South, where she discovered a sense of belonging, she never thought possible so far from home.
Having first come to Australia to complete her Master’s degree in computer engineering, Naz was employed as the leather specialist and floor supervisor at a Louis Vuitton store when a recruiter contacted her about a reception role they were looking to fill.
“At the time, working for Louis Vuitton really felt like my dream job,” Naz reflects. “Working with one of the world’s most famous high-end fashion houses felt like a dream come true! So, when I was approached about a role was in the motor industry, I didn’t move too quickly.”
But all that changed when the recruiter told her the role was for a luxury brand. “I swear, when heard it was for Porsche, I lost my breath,” laughs Naz. “I took a few moments to collect myself, and replied with ‘Sorry… did you say the role is for Porsche?’”
While Naz admits that she’d never really had a desire to work in the automotive sector, the opportunity to work for an industry-leading sportscar brand proved just too alluring. Despite having no experience in the automotive space, Naz’s passion for luxury and her eagerness to learn proved to be a winning combination. While working at reception, Naz took it upon herself to become more involved in the sales process, which set her path to recently joining the sales department.
Today, Naz is the Sales Coordinator at Porsche Sydney South, where she takes pride in providing exceptional customer service to customers and helping them achieve the dream of owning a Porsche. “I really enjoy getting to play a part in this special moment in their lives.”
But Naz’s role at Porsche Sydney South is much more than just a job. It’s a way of life. She loves the sense of community and camaraderie that comes with working for a brand like Porsche, and she relishes the opportunities for professional development and growth that PCSS provides.
“Every day, I get to dress up and get to work for the best automotive brand in the world – all with a great team who I know I can rely on (and will make me laugh),” she says. “I feel very blessed to call my colleagues friends, and that I get to call PCSS my second home.”
With a career full of highlights, one moment stood out. Attending the exclusive Louis Vuitton x PCSS ladies event in 2022 was an experience that felt like her career had come full circle. “It was incredibly fulfilling to be a part of such a special partnership. Witnessing my two worlds, both old and new (fashion and automotive) come together on the same day was a real highlight.”
In addition to her love for her colleagues, Naz is also has grown passionate about the cars themselves. Her favourite Porsche model being the Boxster. Combining the sporty convertible style with the overall Porsche performance resonates with Naz and her appreciation for road trips.
For Naz, working at Porsche Sydney South is more than just a career. It’s a dream come true. She feels incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work for such an iconic brand. “Porsche just absolutely seduced me!” she laughs. “It’s a luxury brand, that represents a luxury lifestyle, it’s about creating Porsche experiences for the driver. The way I see it, at Porsche we’re selling dreams.”
