The Inside Story : I vs WE
Niraj Hutheesing
Founder & Managing Director at Cygnet. One | Statistician and Innovator
Thrilled to be in office on a bright Monday morning, I usually love interacting with my employees and learning their experiences working for us. We were meeting for a small disruptive strategy for our forthcoming project deliveries. The conference room was full of cross-team key decision makers and their team members. With many-a new face in the team, I thought to casually learn more about them.
I was amazed at the roll-out of forthcoming events…” Hi, I’m Tony, Sr. Java developer” “Hi, I’m Priya, Team Lead for Android Department”, “Hi, I’m Amir, USA Sales”, “Good Morning Sir, I’m Yogesh, Sr. Software Eng. for Microsoft Department” …. blah blah blah…. Little surprised that I was, the next thing just blurted out:
“Who amongst you is working for Cygnet Infotech?”
Pin drop silence.
Seems straight out of Bollywood movie, Chak-De India scene doesn’t it? Well, this happened for real and I couldn’t wait but gauge the scene in my mind. For those who want a summary of the movie, find the poster.
The crux of the matter was: Being attached to the Department is just great but eventually THE TEAM i.e. the organization is the zenith. Like a well-organized human body where every organ plays their role perfectly for smooth running of the ecosystem likewise the teams work together for a larger cause.
If you look at it, be it any sports, every player is focused on his personal well-being both individual fitness and mental. Final goal for all of them is the team effort to reach that one goal i.e. WINNING! The best team to win is always diverse, passionate, creative and die-hard sporty.
Diversity
Hone in on the problem: Diversity is sometimes an issue within organizations, small matters ranging from cultural backgrounds, group-isms, department patriots, senior-junior and so on…. For a healthy working environment, diversity is highly essential along-with total transparency. Key flourishing indicators for Innovation, aims towards creating a product or service that improves people's lives. Embracing diverse thoughts, listening to everyone’s ideas and acting together for the cause, is the true Cygnetian spirit.
Surround yourself with passionate people
Cygnetians are passionate, hell passionate about whatever tasks we do. Surround yourself with people who are willing to stick their necks out, seek solutions, and be the change they want to create. We aim to make the complex simple, basically people are too focused on trying to solve a huge problem and innovation gets lost along the way!

8 年its not about positive or negative mindset just because one has introduced him/herself by their department name !! just imagine, if each person says that he/she belongs to one particular company then next question will be , from which department they are?, its a common thing . ultimately everyone is working for that company only. its a different angle from which other person is looking. but it has nothing to do with positivity and negativity.
