Work. New statistics point to the average person spends somewhere between 20 to 25% of their waking adult life working and over 80% of those people when surveyed are unhappy in their jobs. Why? Ask yourself two questions - what do you want out of life, and are you willing to struggle for it? The answer to this is the greater determinant of how our lives turn out. As leaders we are responsible for inspiring people to work at their best. Showing them that they are trusted and can trust our leadership. We are charged with building a space where people can make mistakes, learn, share, where they are safe to be different. We hire and promote employees who show up with their best gifts, their courage, try with honesty, who are a hungry voice to what is possible, and strive to be a part of the future. For strong leaders it's about understanding what needs to change, to have a vision for what could be, to give people strength and the organization impact. 

Everything we do and create has an impact on the people and the world around us. We do not want to look back. The future is here now. We are in it together.
