Inside BGAseball: Crashing Plates
Life IMO, Annuity IMO, over two dozen carrier onboardings, Agency Management System, CRM, Licensing & Contracting System, Web design/development, Cyber Security, Hiring Staff, Compensation System, Broker Dealer
These are the major items we are currently working on. All of them, need to be up and running for Fortis Brokerage Services to accept and process new business. It looks like a lot of plates to keep spinning, but in reality, there is a lot of help from within and without our organization. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has been assisting us in this process.
Not to say that it isn’t a balancing act. For instance, wouldn’t it be a shame if the person spearheading all this went MIA right in the middle of it all?
That is exactly what I did. For two weeks during the holiday season I was having a hard time moving anything along, two days into the new year, people come back to work reinvigorated to work, and I go down with COVID. Fortunately, it was only about thirty-six hours of misery, but that felt like just enough time that I dropped all the spinning plates and needed to pick them up and reorganize over the weekend.
With the plates safely back up in the air, I took a trip down to Atlantic City to attend the kick-off meeting of my strategic partner. Suffice to say, it was an absolute treat to meet many of the people I will be working with. There were people I have worked with in the past, people I have known for years and never worked with, people I have heard of but never met, and a whole lot of brand-new folks I look forward to developing relationships with.
