“You are appointed with four carriers.”

Have you ever heard such a beautiful sentence? It was spoken by the gentleman assisting me to acquire contracts with our carrier partners. This was one of those “Now it’s real” moments for me. Even more so than landing our IMO.

When I say Fortis is cooking right now, I mean it.

In the next 10 business days we will have:

A new business case manager

A website

Selling tools

An annuity platform

A licensing portal

Appointments with over a dozen carriers

Compensation Grids

A few days after that, we will have our Agency Management System and be open for business.

Theoretically we could write business right now, but without a management system or compensation system, we would be setting ourselves up for problems. Better to wait the few weeks.

One of my long term goals in creating Fortis Brokerage was to keep track of the entire process in an effort to package it up and assist others in building their own BGAs. I still think that could be viable down the line, but something else, completely unexpected has happened during this process.

I have been meeting with so many people from so many vendors and firms that I’ve already had the opportunity to introduce several parties to each other. So, I’d like to take this time to offer, if you haven’t checked the marketplace for a while and have questions about what is out there and how it could help you be more efficient, call me.
