1.???? Can you introduce yourself and share a bit about your professional background before joining AVOCarbon? My name is Eduardo Rodríguez, and I currently work as a Project Manager at AVOCarbon. Before joining the company, I completed my degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, along with certifications in:

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Lean Manufacturing
• Logistics and Supply Chain Management

These certifications have been instrumental in shaping my approach to managing complex projects with efficiency and precision.

2.???? Can you walk us through a typical day in your position? A typical day begins with a good cup of coffee while reviewing pending project tasks and prioritizing them based on urgency and complexity. I work closely with the multidisciplinary teams assigned to various projects to ensure steady progress in daily activities. This approach allows us to maintain effective project control and meet customer expectations by delivering high-quality products and processes on schedule.

3.???? How does being part of a multinational company like AVOCarbon influence your work? Working at a multinational company like AVOCarbon has been transformative. It exposes me to diverse perspectives and innovative practices, such as benchmarking. In most projects, I collaborate with colleagues from various countries within the company to develop new components, implement processes, validate systems, and more. Over time, this dynamic environment has fostered both personal and professional growth, as there’s always something new to learn from the people I work with globally.

4.???? What are some of the most exciting projects you’ve worked on, and what made them stand out? One of the most exciting projects I’ve worked on was launching a new production line called DY Front Wiper. This line produces brush cards for the front windshield wiper motors of KIA and Hyundai vehicles for our client, DY Auto. This project was a turning point for me as I developed key project management skills, including process optimization, reducing workforce dependency, and increasing operational margins. Seeing the production line run successfully and delivering products of excellent quality was an incredibly rewarding experience.

5.???? Collaboration is key in a multinational environment. How do you coordinate with teams across different countries? Effective communication is essential, and I believe it starts with clarity and transparency. This, combined with proper follow-up and project planning, ensures smooth coordination. We utilize company tools to organize weekly meetings or additional sessions as needed to review project updates thoroughly. Progress is documented in tracking tools, allowing the entire team to access real-time project statuses whenever required.

6.???? What advice would you give to someone aspiring to work as a Project Engineer? Focus on developing strong problem-solving and communication skills. The ability to collaborate across cultures and departments is what sets you apart. Never stop learning and always stay open to constructive feedback. Every project you work on is an opportunity to grow and acquire new knowledge.

7.???? Finally, do you have a favorite quote or personal motto that inspires you in your work? My favorite quote is: “Hope anchors the soul.” This reminds me to stay grounded and optimistic, no matter the challenges a project may bring. Hope gives me the strength to persevere, motivates me to find solutions, and inspires me to lead with confidence and resilience. In a role where unexpected hurdles are common, having hope as an anchor helps me stay focused and move forward.
