Be [Insert Your Name]
It is a tragedy to live someone else’s life.?
Rabbi Zusya said "In the coming world, they will not ask me: 'Why were you not Moses?' They will ask me: 'Why were you not Zusya?'”
Take a moment to re-write this statement with your name at the end.
“In the coming world, they will not ask me: ‘Why were you not Moses?’ They will ask me: ‘Why were you not Tim?’”
Read and re-read this statement.?
Reflect upon it deeply.?
Who are you trying to be??
Are you trying to be someone you are not?
Are you living your life or someone else's expectations for your life?
If this strikes you as narcissistic, you need to dig deeper. Living in your unique wholeness should not lead to living a self-centered life.?
Rather, if we all embrace our unique and innate wholeness, love for others would be more abundant than ever.
I often wonder, as a husband and father, whether or not I’m doing enough to allow Jess and my boys to embrace who they truly are…not suffocated by my expectations or society's expectations of who they should be. Rather, fully embrace who their Creator made them be.?
You’ve likely lived enough days of your life in a way that is not true to who you were designed to be.
It’s time to authentically and unapologetically be the best version of yourself.?

2 年Really powerful, Tim Ulbrich, PharmD. 2020 was the (extremely painful) year I was able to gain a lot of clarity here and begin shedding the weight of other people's expectations. As a mom, I can only hope my kids understand my expectations of them to be as kind, compassionate, and loving as they possibly can be.
