?? The ins and outs of the exit interview

Hey friends,

Happy (belated) Good Friday.

I went into that zone on Friday when I thought it was a Saturday as there was no work. Turns out it was only Friday, so it felt like I experienced Saturday twice! WooHoo!

I actually wanted to write an article about Singapore being ranked the happiest country in Asia (for the second time in a row, no less!) but decided to give a minute of silence on my exit from the Work It podcast.

Don't worry, the pod lives on, but another set of hosts will take over the baton.

When I was much younger, I?wanted to get into mainstream media so this is my itch being scratched.

I often get asked how I even got onto the pod. In a way, it could be seen as luck, but the longer version is that I wrote for CNA commentary many times, and that was how the producer got to know about my focus.?

It helped that I have been doing my podcasting, so it is no stranger to me.

I also wrote for CNA commentary because of my regular writing on my blog and LinkedIn, which captured the attention of the former editor.

As Steven Jobs said, "You can only connect the dots looking backwards."

So start building your dots today. You never know what they may lead you to.?

Krisp -?AI-powered assistant for meetings and calls

I was quite a heavy user of Krisp, especially when Zoom became a thing due to COVID-19. Noise cancellation hardware was a luxury, and Krisp was an affordable way to take care of it with software.

But that use case became obsolete as hardware caught up and became cheap for adoption.

Recently a friend pointed out Krisp and has been using it for notes taking. I didn't even know they had gone into that space.

There are many AI note-taking apps, but most struggle with my Singapore-accented English. Surprisingly, Krisp appears to understand them better.

And should you be using a proprietary system to do your call, Krisp is system agnostic. You select Krisp as your speaker and microphone. The recording is done there instead.

Perth-fect Fun! Family Adventure Down Under (March 2024)

Putting together a video of any overseas holiday has become almost customary. I?started with a Bangkok trip during Covid, Seoul, Melbourne, Switzerland/Italy, France/UK, and, most recently, Perth .

As my friend with whom we went to France/UK, it is nice to do a visual recap of what happened and recall our?experience then.

I hope you find useful information when planning to visit any of these countries.
