An innovative “security-share” app called BodiGuard has launched in key U.S. cities to provide a means for anyone anywhere to book affordable protective security professionals on-demand.?BodiGuard is like a “ride-share” for protective security services, through which users can confidently hire qualified, insured/licensed, and vetted personal security services.

The app’s creator, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, Sinakhone Keodara, began developing BodiGuard amid increasingly alarming reports of violent attacks against the Asian-American and Pacific Islander community during the COVID crisis.

Joining Sinakhone at BodiGuard is Dean L. deVilla, Chief Security Officer and Co-founder -- a veteran U.S. federal law enforcement supervisory special agent and corporate security executive for a global pharmaceutical company.?Both Sinakhone and Dean are of Asian heritage and were strongly compelled to create an innovative way to prevent violence against anyone anywhere.?The BodiGuard mobile app was created to help protect everyone and anyone feeling vulnerable, as physical violence and safety concerns continue to reach all demographics in the U.S.?The app gives the ability for anyone seeking protective security services to access and book professional providers through the mobile app.

The BodiGuard app is currently live for downloads in all 50 states with services launched specifically in the metropolitan areas of greater Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Seattle and Atlanta, with the intention of eventually bringing the app’s service to other U.S. metropolitan areas and ultimately to international markets.?

We developed BodiGuard to provide service to prospective clients that is considered better, faster and less costly than conventional service levels of contracting for protective services.?BodiGuard’s first-tier protective service is about $20/hour for uniform security guard service.?If a guard has a license to carry firearms, each armed guard can charge an additional $40/hour in addition to their initial $20/hour rate.?The higher tiers of service can include security escort to executive-level protective security services to secure transport car and driver service.?The app operates similarly in function to how “ride-share” apps charge clients for different tiers of service.?Anyone seeking services can open the “security-share” app through a smartphone, browse through the profiles of available protective security service providers, review a provider’s reviews/ratings, check availability and service rates/prices, select the services offered, and then press REQUEST on the app.?Once a provider accepts the request, the app will then prompt the client to input their payment information.?The BodiGuard app really makes directly booking security services with a provider that simple.?In many cases, services can start within a few hours – depending upon the location of the client in the U.S. where the service is requested.

All security guards and protective security service providers listed on the BodiGuard app must be appropriately licensed/credentialled, insured and undergo strict background checks by both their state of licensure and the team at BodiGuard.?Customers will be able to choose whether or not they want armed security, and they’ll also have the option for on-foot escort or secure car-ride assistance.

BodiGuard is currently seeking protective security service professionals throughout the U.S. to showcase and market their services on the BodiGuard app.?The company is also inviting active-duty law enforcement officers with protective security experience and who have authorization from their agencies/departments to perform private security services while off-duty, to list their availability on the BodiGuard app.?BodiGuard wants to help keep the professional protective security service industry engaged with their communities in keeping their people safe, while also helping our law enforcement officer colleagues with the ability to earn extra income as a listed provider on the BodiGuard app.
