Recently, we’ve been working on an exciting project that demonstrates the power of simplicity. Using Visual Studio, we’ve connected to an Omron CJ2H CPU to create Daily and Monthly Production Reports. This solution is an excellent example of how a streamlined, accessible approach can deliver the insights manufacturers need without unnecessary complexity, highlighting solutions that don't require monthly licensing fees, high costs or long deployment times, not to mention that this solution is not limited to Omron but Siemens, Mitsubishi, Delta, Beckhoff and countless.

For this specific project, we utilized the OmronFinsTCP library, which enabled seamless connectivity and control, allowing us to read and write data to the CPU. However, the same idea can be applied to different CPUs by leveraging similar libraries or APIs tailored to those brands. With the right tools, creating daily and monthly production reports becomes a straightforward task, no matter what system you are working with.

It’s all about creating solutions that simplify the process while still providing the data-driven results needed for better decision-making.
