Innovation and technology at the service of corporate culture: we develop a tool for a multinational pharmaceutical

Our team, mostly composed of students, developed a tool for a multinational pharmaceutical that allowed the company to strengthen its organizational culture.

The tool was essential for the company’s annual event, which gathers hundreds of healthcare professionals with the goal of providing scientific innovation.

The project, "Pharmaceutical Digital Activation”, is a mobile app that helped over 700 professionals interact and stay informed about the key tools to face current challenges. We achieved live feedback where participants collaborated dynamically, asked questions, responded to surveys, and made comments, which then formed a collaborative idea cloud.

In this way, the event organizers received feedback from participants throughout the event, improving the event experience and facilitating the exchange of ideas.

What technologies did we use in Pharmaceutical Digital Activation?

In this type of event, where interaction is key, user experience is crucial. Attendees must be able to easily interact with the app, view the event content, and participate in activities without complications. Therefore, we developed “Pharmaceutical Digital Activation” with technologies like Node.js and Next.js, which allowed for greater performance, scalability, and speed:

• Node.js is ideal for handling real-time interactions due to its efficiency in managing simultaneous connections. This tool allows responses and data to reach users and the server quickly without delays.
• Next.js allows for a dynamic user interface that updates quickly, without users needing to constantly refresh the app.

The use of these technologies translates to a better user experience, as it keeps the interaction smooth, which is key in an event designed to have the audience participate live.

Additionally, public comments and activity results were displayed on the event screens. To achieve this, we used “Nats”, a messaging system that allowed us to send information from the app to the screens in real time. This way, in less than a second, the comment would appear on the main screen of the event.

Thanks to this innovative approach and the use of cutting-edge technologies, “Pharmaceutical Digital Activation” not only optimized interaction among attendees but also consolidated a new form of participation in large-scale event.

This project reflects our commitment to developing technological solutions that enhance communication and collaboration in professional environments.
