Innovation or Nothing: BlueSword's 31-Year Journey in Intralogistics
Over 30 years ago, the logistics and warehousing industry in China was just beginning to flourish. In this vibrant time brimming with opportunities and challenges, BlueSword was born.
Established by Professor Mike Wu in 1993, the company's primary focus was on logistics system consulting and planning, logistics software development, and system integration services. During our first decade of development, BlueSword not only opened up the domestic logistics market, but also laid a robust foundation for future growth.
Focusing on Specialized Automated Equipment Development
In 2003, as the company continued to expand, our core business has been shifted towards the independent development of specialized automated equipment. This marked the beginning of a new decade of innovation.
Capitalizing on the growing demand for logistics systems in the tobacco industry, the BlueSword team developed a series of specialized equipment such as fully automatic waterfall sorting lines, fully automatic case opening machines, and fully automatic packaging machines. This allowed the company to quickly expand its market presence in the tobacco industry, while creating possibilities for future expansion across different industries.
Currently, BlueSword's self-developed cigarette sorting line has been upgraded to the fifth generation, successfully achieving a fully automated solution for tobacco logistics including warehousing, sorting, coding, packaging, loading and unloading. Through years of continuous R&D and business deepening, we have maintained a leading competitive advantage in the tobacco logistics field.
Innovation and Development on Full Series of Logistics Robots
In 2012, BlueSword embarked on the construction of a high-tech logistics industrial park, and started to make significant strides in independently manufacturing advanced logistics equipment. The company thus entered its third decade of rapid development.
The company has obtained 353 independent intellectual property rights so far, with core technologies covering system-level products, such as stacker cranes, shuttle robots, AMRs and AGVs, aerial robots, picking and sorting robots, loading and unloading robots, palletizing and depalletizing robots, and digital twin platform.
Through continuous innovation in products and services, BlueSword has embraced more opportunities in the warehousing and logistics market. Our clients now span over 20 industries, including tobacco, pharmaceutical, ecommerce, retail, automobile, power, electronics, daily chemical, apparel and 3PL.
While offering customized solutions to clients, the company is also exploring new business models. As early as 2014, BlueSword formed a partnership with Vipshop to introduce an agency-operation model, becoming one of the first companies entering the RaaS (Robot as a Service) field.
Bringing Smart Logistics Solutions to the Global Market
In 2018, the company officially launched an overseas strategic layout, and started to export complete sets of high-end logistics equipment to global markets. Currently, our comprehensive automated logistics systems have been successfully operated in countries such as the United States, Germany, and Japan.
Thanks to our innovative technologies, advanced products, and customized services, BlueSword is rapidly expanding overseas to grow its global presence. The company has successively achieved strategic cooperation with many global partners, and obtained orders from some leading companies in Europe and America.
In addition to our headquarters in Jinan, China, we have several branches and service centers in the United States, Germany, Japan, Thailand, and Singapore to support our global business.
Pioneering Digital Manufacturing in Logistics Automation
The BlueSword Innovation and Manufacturing Base officially commenced operations in 2022. With an area of 200,000 square meters, the facility is equipped with a series of automated production lines including pulsating production, fully automatic spraying, fully automatic robotic welding, and ultra-precision processing, enabling efficient mass production of multiple logistics robots.
Supported by our Innovation and Manufacturing Base, BlueSword will continuously provide high-quality smart logistics products and services to global clients with its high-efficiency digital production capabilities.
The Innovation and Manufacturing Base not only highlights BlueSword's innovation achievements and manufacturing strength, but also demonstrates our ongoing exploration of the application potential of logistics automation technology. From the Super Logistics Center with a 45m stacker crane ASRS and a 35m multi-shuttle ASRS, to the 20-story ultra high-rise Smart Plant Factory, we are constantly setting new industry benchmarks and unlocking new opportunities and possibilities for future logistics.
Embark on the Next Journey with Ceaseless Innovation
With 31?years?of?expertise, BlueSword has become one of the few smart logistics solution providers with the ability to independently develop both hardware and software. Taking the 31-year milestone as a new starting point, we will continue striving in self-research and self-production, and developing more flexible and scenario-adaptive logistics solutions.
As we keep innovating and evolving our products and services, BlueSword is poised to expand our collaborations with global partners to achieve a more intelligent and sustainable future.
