Striking the balance between ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ and developing unique new ideas for more effective products and services, is a fine art! But innovation is undoubtedly critical to a businesses success, particularly when the market you are in has a high level of competitive intensity. To be clear, innovation isn’t only about new products, services and technologies, it’s also about new processes, new business systems and new management methods.
With the rate of growth in ‘online sales and marketing’, being a forward thinking ‘visible’ business with readily available effective ideas, multimarket services, multi-media communications and original ways to attract customers, is absolutely essential.
The potential to influence a businesses sales growth is not just the innovation, it’s also the speed and the scale of broadcasting a business does to get their products and services adopted in their chosen markets. Despite the explosion of digital communication, you would be surprised how many businesses stop short of knowing how to get their innovative solutions seen, heard and sold!
Successful innovation needs a combination of the right business systems and management methods, with the right data, sales automation and creative marketing solutions. If a business is doing what only they can do and it’s not enough, then getting great business partners to help them take their innovation to market has got to be the right way forward.
Don’t let your great new idea be old news because your chosen market couldn’t find you!

9 年Hi Vida I totally empathise with what's written here. It's often the hardest task to not to persuade people the need for innovation and change, but to persevere with a well thought through plan and set of actions. A desire for quick ROI often leads to failure in our industry rather than seeing the longer term goals. Good stuff

9 年Nice article. The most critical piece you have not mentioned.. mindset. The aim is to bring back individual, team and organisational responsibility and accountability - evolved as 'ingenuity' (mindset) and rely less (not all) on the processes and systems that often functions as an innovation 'crutch'
