Hunched over my notebook on my bed, I reached a near 'aha' moment.?For someone who was both startled and hurt by the words, "You look tired," and "You look crazy," I found comfort in these pages.?Elle and Cosmopolitan magazine have shown me that I am not the only woman who has heard these words and I am not the only woman who has done something about them.
On page 68 of Cosmopolitan, Never let anyone tell you that you look tired again, describes three steps to looking refreshed all the time:?Sleep at least 8 hours a night, drink water between alcoholic beverages, and wash your makeup off of your face before bed.?On the next page, there is a list of potions and cremes to help your skin glow with key ingredients such as Neoglucosamine and Hyaluronic Acid.
On page 114 of the Gwyneth Paltrow edition of Elle, Look Ahead begins with the phrase "You're crazy!" exclaimed by the subject's husband.?It turns out, Mortimer's idea of blocking blue light from modern devices is not crazy, but crazy good.?The article goes on to describe Mortimer's Eye Just, a new line of screen protectors.?For the holiday season, she is launching a package that includes the screen protector, crystal phone rings and a chic leather card holder for Atelier Swarovski's Social Engagement Collection in the hopes to ultimately bring her new product to schools and workplaces.
These two articles brought relief and a sigh for acknowledging that this isn't the first nor will it be the last time someone was called crazy for an innovative idea or tired because they weren't looking after themselves properly.?They give solutions and highlight excellence.?I am grateful to have these magazines in my life.
