The Innovation Journey - Birth

After a period away from Innovation, I am now back, and really looking forward to the challenges ahead. My new role is that of being an Innovation Catalyst.

The team has been set, we complement each other, which is forming an important basis going forward. Our Team will link with all employees and partners in our innovation efforts.

We have started on a plan for the upcoming year. Our efforts will be aligned with the company's strategy, and the Digital strategy.

We plan to be located at StartupLab (https://startuplab.no/) on a regular basis, to gain insight, share, inspire and be inspired. M?ller Mobility Group is a sponsor of the lab. Furthermore we will spend much time in that of gaining insight into challenges/jobs, the customer journey and so on, by visiting sites/talking with customers. Round-tables with partners is also very interesting.

A lightweight innovation process has been defined, that will guide us from ideation to that of scaling for benefits realization. We run an internal innovation jam upcoming week. Here we will present some ideas/discuss them, and open up for new. It's our intent to open up, and engage wider in later ideation processes.

The Automotive industry is changing rapidly, and players like us must be proactive. The ideas will span many different areas. Together with our management we will prioritize ideas with the best potential impact. We plan to run a set of design sprints before the summer, to validate hypothesis/learn. In this effort we have engaged certified design sprint personell that will guide the teams during the sprints. Resource availability/capability will probably lead to mixed teams of internal and partner resources in these sprints. We gained experience from multiple design sprints a couple of years ago.
