#Innovation inspired by #love

Well, perhaps that is a little dramatic, but isn't that a little part of Valentines Day!?
And in this case, it's true!
When your favorite mode of creating is building with LEGO, it makes sense that it would be your chosen medium...for a Valentine!?
Hmmmmm...
But its one thing to have a love for LEGO and another to make something effective for creating an immediate emotional response that fits with "established form requirements".
And an organic shape, to boot!
That takes a different kind of creativity and insight...
...and whimsy, an often overlooked part of engineering that can introduce new ideas!
Form and function often are contradiction to one another, so making them work together requires something extra, especially if the form is iconic and unrelated to the function itself.
But with determination, inspiration, an open mind, and a sense of humor and exploration, new ideas reveal...
Well... love.
And if you talk to as many engineers as I do, you know that time immemorial, the best designs, ideas, and results come from a combination of inspiration, creativity, engineering... (and re-engineering), and love.
(But we'll call it commitment and dedication)
To all the Makers, Engineers, Designers, LEGO builders, and Technicians of all ages, Happy Valentines Day...
...with love.
~ and to my son, you inspire me!
