Application and Eligibility?- Navigating the IECSEP Application Process

Applicants for both streams must demonstrate UK citizenship and adequate financial means to support themselves in Australia. Specific documentation, including a letter of employment offer or a copy of an employment contract, is required to prove and confirm prospective employment in Australia.

The IECSEP is a 2-year pilot program, and it will be limited to 1,000 placed in the 2023-2024 financial year, increasing to 2,000 places in the 2024-25 financial year. The first program, 2023-2024, is currently open for application rounds and will close on 20 November 2023.

Applications are to be processed by the Department of Foreign Affairs amp; Trade (DFAT), with successful applicants being provided with a letter of support from DFAT, enabling them to apply for a Subclass 403 visa under the Government Agreement Stream.
