Innovation In Christian Higher Education

As the world becomes more complex and diverse, culture and society are moving further into moral decay as truth becomes relative and biblical values are pushed by the wayside.
The last few years have been tumultuous for many U.S. colleges. Pressure to lower tuition, stagnating state funding, and a shrinking pool of high school graduates have strained many institutions' bottom lines and questioned their long-term viability. Those pressures have caused some to close. For many still in operation, the coronavirus pandemic and its economic impact add uncertainties to already tight operations. (Source: Highereddive.com)
What about Christian higher education? Christianity Today reports that 18 Christian colleges have closed since the start of COVID-19.
The importance and role of Christian higher education cannot be overstated!
However, these challenges are also opportunities to strengthen students' faith, critical thinking, and leadership skills. With a curriculum grounded in biblical principles and a supportive community, Christian Higher Education equips students to navigate the world's complexities with confidence and compassion. Join us on a journey of growth and transformation as we rise above the challenges and prepare the next generation of leaders for a better world.
Christian colleges and universities face layered challenges as they strive to prepare students to pursue biblical truth and embody a Gospel witness in a fallen world.
I invited John McGee, the Chief Development Officer at Calvary University, to my Unconventional Ministry Podcast to talk about the challenges his University is facing and explain some of the innovations they are implementing in these challenging times.
