~Aalto University in Finland has developed the most efficient superhydrophobic surface to date. This coating, which is 500 times thinner than alternatives, creates an incredibly slippery surface during the controlled production process in the reactor, preventing almost any substance, not just water, from adhering to it. The product is expected to be used primarily in heat transfer pipes and on surfaces where icing and fogging are undesirable.
