From drone surveying and machine control technology, our team is continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible in construction.

Beyond capturing data, our drones are changing the way we survey. With the ability to essentially “see through mountains,” our LiDAR-equipped drones and high-resolution photogrammetry allow for precise site surveys and 3D modeling. ?With this advanced technology, we can navigate through the most challenging terrains, reaching areas that would be difficult to access on foot. In addition to keeping our personnel safe and ensuring no detail is missed, this technology allows us to get data to clients in a shorter window.

Advanced construction technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), project management software, and automated machinery can significantly streamline workflows, reduce manual errors, and enhance coordination among different teams. Automation and advanced equipment can also increase the speed of construction processes, leading to faster project completion times and the ability to take on more projects at once.

Data analytic tools give real-time insights and analytics, improving decision-making and project management, while our cloud-based document management keeps our team – based out of different office locations and sites – connected and collaborating on projects.

Acres’ in-house CAD modelling services allow us to create detailed, realistic models of the project, which helps our clients visualize the product and make informed decisions about design and construction. This also allows our team to customize and collaborate with ease, delivering precise models.

Ultimately, these innovative technologies help reduce risk, protect our personnel, and deliver results to our clients faster and more accurately than ever before.

Innovation in Action: The Viscount Villa Retrofit Project

Our innovation goes beyond technology – our team is also committed to innovation in projects. One standout example is our work on the Viscount Villa Retrofit Project, a pilot project for Kelson Group Property Management aimed at enhancing the building to achieve a 60% increase in energy efficiency.

This retrofit includes a completely new building envelope, state-of-the-art mechanical systems, and cutting-edge solar arrays to minimize energy use.?

We’re also upgrading the windows and doors to modern, high-performance materials for both energy savings and tenant comfort.?

This project goes beyond improving a building. The Viscount Villa Retrofit Project represents a significant leap towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.

Say "Hay" to our Latest Happy Clients

At Acres, there is no project that is too big or too small, and building community is just as important as building projects.

Our team had the opportunity to support Critteraid Animal Sanctuary in October by repairing the horse shelter on site, right in time for the cooler temperatures.

Critteraid is a non-profit animal rescue sanctuary in Summerland, BC that provides a home to over a hundred animals, including cats and kittens, cows, pigs, goats, chickens and ducks, horses, and a peacock. It is 100% run by volunteers committed to caring for their animal rescues.

Giving back to organizations that give back to the communities we get to live, learn, and work in is always an honour, and we're sure happy knowing these four-legged clients can stay warm over the winter months.
