In December 2012, I recognized that I needed to leave my job at Bloomberg.
I felt stagnant, despondent, and unfulfilled. Yet I stayed there for another eighteen months because I was terrified that a wall of Horrible Outcomes would crash upon me if I left.

1 年Love this and others like us Greg Larkin - innovation disrupts the status quo and in order for us to do that, we need talent willing to challenge and address the systemic and institutional level of ineffectiveness that our current approaches to identifying, recruiting, on-boarding and developing talent and leaders is characterized by. 1 年Great title and TIMELY. Congratulations! Job "security" is an oxymoron. Anyone who is a W-2 at-will employee who wasn't cut in the last layoff should be authoring a coherent employment exit strategy. It's better to be inspired to make the leap than desperate because you've been thrown off a cliff.
