Sky News host Andrew Bolt says Senator Fatima Payman looks “innocent” and yet she is now part of a “dangerous” shift in Australian politics.

“Labor Senator Fatima Payman, she is now part of a very dangerous shift in our politics, it is this new tribalism that is going to set Australians against each other like never before,” Mr Bolt said.

“In fact, it moves to create a new Muslim political party, you just think how that would tear us apart.”

Ever watched a train wreck interview? Senator Payman's interview this evening on 7.30 made me yearn for a crash... I felt sorry for Payman, given how bad she performed. Frankly, it was embarassing!

Your post is an example of Islamophobia. Fatima Payman’s religion was not an issue until she decided to side with Greens against Labor on the matter of Israel’s actions in Palestine which the ICJ ruled as genocide. She has taken a moral stance and she should be respected for her decision. Labor will unfortunately lose many young voters for their doublespeak on the issue of Palestine and their handling of FP.
