Innitius: Funding round is open!
Preterm birth?is one of the?#pregnancy-related conditions that cause most?#maternal?deaths and severe morbidity around the world. The complex nature of?#pretermlabor?and?#birth?makes finding practical solutions more difficult. The availability of?#diagnostic?testing such as?#ultrasonography?may be necessary for the effective prevention of some types of?#pretermlabor?and?#birth. Developing new approaches to?#pretermbirth?and poor?#fetal?growth could offer considerable short- and long-term benefits, such as lowering the cost of care for?#prematurebabies?and reducing growth issues and chronic?non-communicable diseases.
While most?#pregnancy-related?research and development?focuses on the two leading causes of maternal death (PPH and preeclampsia), it is crucial to remember that there are a number of?#pregnancy-specific conditions that are not prioritized for global health funding.?Preterm labor?and?birth?prevention, therapies for decreased?#fetal?growth,?and fetal?distress are examples of only a few?#pregnancy-specific conditions that receive minimal global attention.[1]
Our new?#funding?round for accelerating the?#clinicalevaluation?of our first torsional wave?#diagnostic- FineBirth is open. We have developed Fine Birth, a novel patented diagnostic tool that accurately, cost-effectively, and in real-time, differentiates between true and false preterm labor, dramatically reducing the negative impacts and costs of over-treating false?#pretermlabor?cases. We are raising a total of €1Million to accelerate the?#clinicalevaluation?and entry to market.
