Lesson 1 of 700- THE BIG WHY?
Our first 20 lessons will be presented as articles which will enable us to understand as to why we should follow Bhagwad Geeta and its sessions. Post that, we will get into live sessions talking about our day to day issues and getting easy solutions for them through everything said by Shree Krishna in Bhagwad Geeta
----
Why should I believe what is written in Geeta? Why is Geeta relevant in today's world? What would change in my life if I believe?
We will talk about everything from Geeta in current world scenario and define the relevance and utilisation of each shloka from Geeta to todays generation and us
Lets try and answer these questions from 1 shloka today from Bhagwad Geeta

Deep Meaning: You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.”
Each one of us has got some duties to perform on everyday basis. And the duties keep on changing. You can have a duty of a good son or daughter, a good father or mother, a good husband or wife, a good employee and many others.
Krishna has said in Geeta- Prakriti (the nature) is working under my direction. And this holds true for 2020 as well
2020- Somebody played with nature and here we are.
This year has given us a serious food for thought. Many are struggling badly...some have lost their near and dear ones, some have lost their jobs, businesses and this is continuing. Whethere it is India, USA, Europe, Britain or any part of the world. Situation is mostly the same everywhere.
This is the worst which mankind would have seen in more than 100 years. There was Spanish flu in 1918 and now here is CORONA and we dont know what lies in future.
In this age of Artifical Intelligence, Robotics, such advanced technologies and great scientists, advanced medical studies, we have not been able to fight with a small virus. So, we all can understand, how miniscule we are in this universe. We are just a small planetin a big universe.....on that just a small parcel of land...on that a small country..on that just a small city...a society..a flat..a human..a body...a soul. Thats it. The control is still there with Lord Krishna. So, never ever think that we have achieved a lot. Even if we believe our scientists, we dont even know 0.1111% of the universe till date. So, can we do something today? What is in our hands?
What can we do?
Doctors, policeman and other public servants- Even in these tough times, we can see our doctors, policeman and everyone trying to put in their best to save mankind.
Our working force- Some of my friends who have lost their jobs, want them back badly. Ironically, some of them actually use to crib about their job just 3 months back. Either they were not happy with their bosses, work environment, culture or anything which they could call a reason. They are now looking for jobs out in market. But all of them are wanting to work and get back in action. They want to work because we all believe in Purushartha (the hard work)
Businessmen, small or big shopkeepers, construction workers or even our house helps- Everyone wants to come back to work.
Conclusion
What do we learn from lesson 1
We can only perform our duties. We should perform our duties. Lets not think our job is small, not satisfactory, paying us less. All of us want to be big one day. CFO's, CEO's, Chairman, Start up owners, tycoons. At the end of it, we just want food to eat and a bed to sleep. But what we need to do first is "PERFORM OUR DUTIES". Those of us who perform duties even in these tough times, would one day be coming out as winners. The period is tough. Everyone knows that. But would it make sense to just play the blame game now.
If we dont have a job, lets find one. Lets think about what can be done better. lets help each other. Lets at least given confidence to each one of us.
If our business has fallen flat, lets think about how to re build. Come out with a great idea.
If we want to serve ourselves, lets first think about serving others.
Never say no to doing your duty.
In todays world, the best devotee of Sri Krishna is the one who performs its duties wihout caring for the results.
We will come out of this pandemic but only when we continue to do our job without thinking of results.
So, lets believe in the almighty Krishna, and lets do it. Dont think what will be the result. Let him see to it. If he has given a problem, he also gives a solution to that problem but only when we learn some lessons. Its upto us, how soon or how late we learn and implement
