I am discussing 5 points one by one in Inner game of selling, go thoroughly you will be learning something new or it can help you to grow personally and professionally in your sales career journey.

We will go through one by one in detail to understand better the "Inner Game of Selling"
1. "Totally Confident, High self-esteem – say over and over to yourself I like my self"
This is one of the most important things that you need to take care of when you are in sales as without self confidence nothing work in sales.
You need to be very much confident about yourself first because there is a friendship factor that work in sales, if you don't like yourself you can't grow much in sales industry. Also you need to know that if client doesn't like you or you don't like the client the sales is not going to happen.
First you need to work on yourself on your self confidence part by saying to yourself "I like My Self" and also know about all the pros and cons of your product as well and how it solve the issues/problems of the client in a better way.
Major Points Here is:-
- You Like yourself first then you can like the prospects or clients too.
- All the pros and cons of your product and how it will add value when any clients buy your product/service
- How your product has a competitive advantage too when comparing with your competitors
2. "Visualize your self continually growing in personal & professional field"
This is also one of the most important things that you need visualize while working in the sales industry.
You are continuously working with many new clients as well as existing clients and discussing a lot of new ideas on a daily basis.
Also working with many cross functional teams and learning new things on a daily basis.

In sales you need to visualize here you are growing on a daily basis and improving yourself personally and professionally helps you to grow further in your sales career by improving your self confidence.
3. "Never give up – Failure is not an option"
When you have started your career in the sales field or even you are in sales from many years please keep in mind that "failure is not an option".
If you are approaching 20 clients in a week, each and every client is not going to buy your product or service. Even some prospects unable to afford your product or service sometime.
You need to improve your understanding here that every prospects is not your buyer, once you understand this no one is going stop you to grow in your sales career.
Move forward and work with better prospects every time to grow in your sales career and remember this mantra "Never Never Give Up"
4. "Follow the leaders in your field"
Follow your leaders in your filed and asks them how they have grown and how they are one of the top performers and earning 2x, 3x or even 10x, 20x more than average sales person.
Even some one is earning 10x, 20x more that doesn't mean that they are 10x, 20x better than you. They are just doing there things in a different way or working on themselves on a daily basis or may be working with better prospects most of the time.
Keep in mind that without eating healthy food you can't be fit for a long time likewise without investing in your self you can't grow too much in your sales career.
Follow leaders in your filed and ready to pay the price for your success by "attending the seminars, courses, reading some of the best books on sales and many more like following the leaders in your filed"
Even you can read a book related to your profession in a month you can easily grow your income by 2x withing 1 year. You are going to get to many innovative ideas and by implementing the same in your daily work it will be very easy to grow withing your industry.
5. "80/20 rules"
This is the pareto principles that works every where "80% of the sales is the done by 20% of the people and 20% of the sales is done by 80% of the people"
You need to work on your self and try to be in top 20% of the sales team so you don't have to think about the job security, money and anything.
Start improving on a daily basis to grow further in your career and be in top 10% to achieve whatever you want to achieve by working in the one of the best industry i.e. Sales Industry.
By summarizing I can say that "Sales is one of the oldest and best industry" in which if you can improve your "Inner Game of Selling" on a daily basis. No one can stop you to grow in your sales professional journey.
