Musings from Marcy:

I had someone randomly stop in to get a passport application for his son notarized.

His English wasn't very good, but we worked it out. Suddenly he stood up, took off his shirt, pointed at me, and then his back.

I was a bit perplexed wondering if maybe he thought he was getting a massage.

Apparently, he couldn't remember his son's birth date, but it was part of the tattoo on his back, and he needed me to read it.

Fortunately, he knew the rest of the answers, and no other articles?of clothing were removed during this notarization.

?I?was recently asked for a?feature article?the?top tips that every business owner should know. This was my reply:

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

1. Tell everyone what you do. You never know where your next customer is coming from.
2. Don't be afraid to have big ideas. Even if they don't work out exactly the way you planned, you'll either learn a lesson or something good will come of it later on down the road.
3. Take advantage of every free resource out there: classes, seminars, workshops, and mentorship. Knowledge is power, especially as a business owner.
