As many of you know, I am passionate about helping people create a healthy lifestyle that doesn’t need any difficult maintenance.?I don’t “DIET” myself and I certainly don’t expect that from my friends and clients I work with. ?
It is about finding balance in life, loving yourself, adopting a positive mindset, exercise, managing the day-to-day stress that will never go away, and getting sufficient sleep to allow your body to rest and repair, and maintaining a healthy weight. ??

We are all aware that obesity is a highly prevalent, complex, chronic disease. ?Many people who are overweight or obese can also have type 2 diabetes, hypertension, abnormal triglyceride and cholesterol levels, and cardiovascular disease. ?Obesity was estimated to cause 5 million deaths globally in 2019.
How to fix the obesity problem? ?It isn’t easy when everyone is looking for a quick fix! Enter the current craze of Ozempic, a weekly injection intended to help lower blood sugars by helping the pancreas make more insulin.?While it has not been approved for weight loss, it is being prescribed ‘off label’ for weight loss.?
Is this the magic treatment to weight loss??Let’s take a look. ?
Several studies have shown that people have indeed lost weight with Ozempic. But, the cost can certainly be a roadblock for many!?According to Web MD, a 30-day supply can cost nearly $1,200 dollars, depending on the pharmacy. ??
So, how does Ozempic help individuals lose weight? Well, it's through that the GLP-1 protein decreases your appetite while also delaying gastric emptying, meaning the food stays in your system longer. Basally, you feel full, and you eat less.
But, is this the best option? A study published in the Journal of Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism indicated that as soon as individuals are off of Ozempic, the gastric emptying picks up back to the normal rates, metabolism actually has slowed down, and individuals put on a lot of that weight which they lost.

In fact, one year after withdrawal of once-weekly subcutaneous injections of Ozempic and lifestyle intervention, participants regained two-thirds of their prior weight loss, with similar changes in other conditions associated with obesity- type 2 diabetes, hypertension, abnormal triglyceride and cholesterol levels, and cardiovascular disease . ?The authors of the study also conclude that this is not a long-term solution to help individuals lose weight.
So, what is the best solution? It's simple. It's something we've known all along. Lifestyle changes, create healthy habits, eat right, exercise and get your rest.
How do I know??I’ve done it myself after dieting for years.?I’ve seen it work for thousands of people that also make it a lifestyle and adopt a mindset of success.?They begin to love the new person they are becoming and their new lifestyle habits that have them feeling amazing.?When you feel amazing, the old you will never come back into your life.?
