"Agile" => "DevOps" => "Enterprise DevOps" ............ This is so true!!
The above sequence shows the evolution of principles & practices for delivering high quality software in frequent time intervals. Both Agile and DevOps are now prevalent in our IT industry and "Enterprise DevOps" is the next buzzword here, catching up fire.
Nevertheless, the foundation across all three concepts is "the people" - the way they communicate and collaborate, they way they take accountability of the work and share one common vision. So, even if you have fantastic tools, beautiful integrations, smooth processes.... BUT if your "people" are not working as "ONE Team" then the purpose dissolves.
Enterprise DevOps is evolving and the whole idea is to adopt DevOps principles and practices at an Enterprise level. The key ingredients to adopt DevOps at an Enterprise level are-
1) Build "One Team" concept => the team who designs, builds and support the applications
2) Assess the current DevOps Maturity => Analyze current ecosystem and see where are you on the journey and where do you want to be
3) Document the key metrics that will be required to measure the improvements and performance..tracking metrics
4) End to End Automation... automate whatever you can ..Build an integrated system with optimized processes and standard tool set.
