Infusing Creativity into the Work Day- Lessons from the Daily Routines of 26 Famous Creative Types

Came across this very interesting infographic that shows the 24 hour routines of 26 well-known creative individuals including authors, composers, artists and scholars from the past several centuries. Very interesting diversity of schedule and leisure activities. I love how small an amount of time is allocated to "day job" activities. Clearly these visionaries found a way to meld their "job" with their "creativity" for tremendously successful results. Most of us probably couldn't get away with justifying Balzac's mid-day napping. And I, for one, am not the least bit interested in Victor Hugo's daily ice-bath on the roof. But we certainly could take a hint from these famous creatives in learning how to merge our work with our creativity in our own environments.

Check out the infographic, where you can toggle different activity categories on and off for some interesting comparisons. And what about you - who's schedule does your most closely resemble?

Bill, I really enjoyed this infographic and thinking about how similar I am to several - spending the early morning thinking, reading, listening to something inspiring before beginning my work. Fascinating look at some pretty successful people.
