InfraWorks and JavaScript - Part II

InfraWorks and JavaScript - Part II

In a previous article I showed you how you can automate the process of creating snapshots for each bookmark in your InfraWorks model using just a few lines of JavaScript code.

In this article I'll show you how you can further automate the process of exporting snapshots by not only letting you choose which folder you want to save the snapshots to, but also how you can change the aspect ratio of the images and iterate through all of your proposals as well, creating snapshots of each bookmark and from every proposal.

To automate the creation of snapshots, first download the source code here. Extract the contents of the ZIP file, open the .JS file in the SCRIPTING?editor of InfraWorks and click the START SCRIPT button. The code will launch the dialog box below where you can choose your desired options. You can modify the length, width and location of the snapshot by modifying the options in the code below. The snapshots that are created have the same?name?as their corresponding?bookmarks. When you click CREATE SNAPSHOTS, the code will iterate through the bookmarks of the current model and create a snapshot for each one. It's that simple!
