Infosys, Wipro's new contracts, CGI and NinjaOne acquisitions and more...

Hello everyone,

Happy Saturday. Apart from the market shock of DeepSeek, a lot many things happened in the past week that were worth noting.

First, I am happy to share that I have been recognized as one of the "UC All Stars" by UC Today More details here:

Let's have a look at the key updates from the past week:

End user technology

Nexthink's new partnership with Softcat

Nexthink has announced that it has formed a new partnership with UK service provider Softcat More details here:

Softcat has been recognized by ISG in the Cybersecurity, AWS and Microsoft Ecosystem service areas. Nexthink also has announced that Softcat will be part of a new customer advisory board for Nexthink in Europe. It is great way to have Softcat's managed workplace services to get more insights into changing end user experience based on the tech performance and leverage Nexthink's Infinity innovation.

GoTo brings back the LogMeIn branding

GoTo has announced that all its IT-centric solutions will have "LogMeIn" branding going forward. (Ever heard that name before?) More details here:

A little history: Citrix once held the entire GoTo branded product family, including GoToAssist, GoToMeeting, GoToMyPC, GoToTraining, and GoToWebinar. In 2016, it spun it off and merged it with the then-existing LogMeIn. The combined entity changed all the product names to GoTo in 2022. However, the IT users never got used to the word "GoTo" with its IT solutions, such as Rescue. I have been working with GoTo as part of research engagement, and many of its partners still call the remote monitoring and management solution LogMeIn Rescue and not GoTo Rescue. It is great that the company decided to return to the LogMeIn branding. It will also keep the product portfolio of IT solutions and UCaaS separate.

NinjaOne acquires Dropsuit

NinjaOne has announced that it has acquired Dropsuite a provider of data backup and archiving. More details here:

NinjaOne is strong in MDM and UEM solutions. Combining those capabilities with Dropbsuite for data backup particularly with Google and Microsoft ecosystem provides a robust data recovery and business continuity capabilities to NinjaOne.

Flexxible has a new CEO

Flexxible? has announced that it will have a new CEO Nieves Franco More details here:

Flexxible has capabilities in both DEX and DaaS, with a focus on autonomous IT, a key theme in 2025, according to me. Franco comes from the IT services and managed services industry, she can leverage Flexxible's differentiation with XLAs and is a great pick to lead this core EUC company.

Managed workplace services

CGI's two new acquisitions

CGI announced two new acquisitions Novatec and BJSS. More details here:

Both the solutions enhance CGI's consulting capabilities in Europe particularly in the UK and Germany, where they are already strong at. As Future of work becomes more and more AI centric, these acquisitions further strengthen CGI's capabilities.

Unisys becomes a founding member of the XLA Institute

优利系统 has announced that it has partnered with XLA Institute as a Global Founding Member. More details here:

Having worked with Unisys's team for a long time, I can confidently say that this development will surely help XLA Institute define standards. Unisys has some of the most amazing leaders, in particular Weston J Morris , who was the first one who coined the terms XLA1.0 and XLA2.0. It is important that a body that develops these standards has such great thought leaders. Congratulations, Unisys and XLA Institute!

维布络 has signed a new contract with Etihad More details here:

Such mega deals are rare but do involve multiple service towers. It is important to note that this deal includes elements other than the workplace. This provides a huge opportunity for Wipro to leverage its LiVE Workspace capability to provide business-centric outcomes to Etihad.

Capgemini shares EX trends in 2025

RingCentral brings Events Studio

RingCentral has unveiled its RingCentral Events studio helping organizations to host virtual events leveraging its AI-enabled functionalities. More details here:

There was a flurry of virtual events solutions at the the time of the pandemic. Then there was a dip. It is great to see RingCentral bringing innovation in hosting virtual events. I particularly liked the functionality of AI-enabled questions categorization during Q&A. Having worked on many online virtual events, I think this would be a great addition.

That's all for the week, folks. I will be in Austin, Texas next week. Please let me know if you want to meet.
