Throughout advancement of technology and academic studies Data has been transformed from numbers written on large notepads and manually tabulated to software solutions that store, record, and maintain all datasets (with progression towards full AI systems that completely automate majority of the data entry roles!). With this transformation, the amount of data that can be stored and accessed increased exponentially and a whole new set of questions became introduced to company strategy.

Similar to any ROI analysis, all the following questions need to be asked:

• How much does their current Data impact their growth and what would be the potential impact of additional data?
• What would be the cost of maintaining and structuring their Data?
• How centralized and uniform are their current data sources?
• How many people access the Data and how many more would benefit from doing so?
• How much internal and external security do they require on their data and what is the potential risk?
• What accuracy level do they require for their data to be effective?

Once the above questions are answered, the next set of questions, get more specific.
