Information Order

Wondering what is this new term? Even I was when my colleague Supratik Bhattacharya introduced me to it.

I did ask him what is this term all about?

He replied "IQ+EQ= Information Zero (IO=Information Order)"

Baffled I was as you are right now while reading this! I questioned to unearth, "Why are you trying to amalgamate intelligence and emotion in this equation and how does that lead to Information?"

He replied gently like a medical expert, "Intelligence gives birth to a healthy baby named Information and since Emotion is zero nowadays so the newborn concepts suffer from malnutrition".

I felt lost to this response. Then mentioned, "Listen the topic is Information Order! (Expressing slight irritation)

He explained, "If you say something even with a good intent while you hold and own a commendable position in an organization, your people might feel you are giving an Order and tend not to follow it."

I debated instantly, "That happens in personal lives equally!"

He smiled and mildly uttered, "See you got my point."

Then I asked out of curiosity, "Earlier while people used to discuss in groups,they used to ask for opinions,share their work load, responsibilities, rewards and failures. Were connected even to the extent of calling up each other every now and then and may be visiting each other's houses to enquire about their well being and how's life going?"

I kept saying, "These days people don't do all these. We have become odd examples of so called and believed ideal society."

He looked up as if in deep thoughts and magically extracted few words perhaps from his ceiling,"All of these depend on variable factors. You know what they are. Just don't mention the name of the models,then the natural tendency of people psyche is to resist the truth. You know that very well. Beginning of BLOCKING isn't it?"

I replied, "Yes, and anyhow I don't understand all those model names as they are mostly abbreviations. Also general people don't understand those terms. And there are complexities in using those terms. Sometimes even we feel offended when some other self-proclaimed expert use such terminologies in different case and context."

He replied,"Do it in your way then."

I replied with a grin and minor frustration, "Our way? The Miracurall way?"

He told "Yes, why not?" Do it your way."

I yelled this time with anger,"Our way? Miracurall's way?"

He replied with an apologetic voice tone, "Yes"

I said, "Connecting personal with professional lives?"

He said again, "Yes."

I told, "It depends on elements like age,gender, the positions you are holding,relationships you have with others at that point of time,battle of knowledge,war of ideologies,belief systems,differential in experiences,cultural alternatives,religious and political preferences along side socio-economic biasedness and I can go on and on."

He replied, "Just don't go overboard, let the audience decide. You share your opinion. Let them innovate their own new grounds and allow their own ideas to germinate."

I smiled and danced in joy saying ,'Yo'.

If you want breakthroughs,you have to question age old theories. Be brave and don't succumb to pressure or guilty pleasure. Patterns will be easy to dismantle if you see things in different light and objectify it. Keep balancing EQ and IQ to get a perfect I0. Keep exploring.
