Infographic SDG13: Climate Action

Climate change is not just an urgent global threat, but also an existential threat for all species, according to a series of publications published by the United Nations and international organizations. The climate crisis is the most serious long-term risk, according to the “Global Risk Report 2022.”

Climate change action has been placed under the group of universal goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and let everyone enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. This is Goal 13 of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

As one of the countries most affected by climate change, Vietnam proactively responds to climate change while actively cooperating and joining hands with the international community to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, implementing a roadmap to transition to a highly resilient low-emissions development model. According to the “The National Report 2020: Five-year progress of Sustainable Development Goals implementation” (The National SDGs Report 2020), Vietnam is on track to meet all three particular goals under Sustainable Development Goal 13 on actions to respond to climate change.
