InFocus 2023 Recap & Highlights

The CE team just wrapped up the first in-person InFocus event since 2019, an incredible week of collaborating, connecting and innovating with new and longtime #JDEdwards friends back in Denver!

It was a special week for the CE team as well, as we celebrated 20 years to the day of outstanding teamwork, customer success stories and continuous product and service innovations! #CheersTo20Years

One of the ways CE experts and customers celebrated this milestone was through sharing innovative approaches, solutions and low-code/no-code tools during multiple educational sessions.

A few educational sessions featured Orchestrator and AtomIQ as automation enablers: Low-Code No-Code for Dummies; Accelerate Business Operations with Mobility, Workflows and Notifications; and Implementing Warehouse Management Solutions at Hadrian using Orchestrator & More.

In the first, Nitin Choudhari, VP of Product Management, gave an overview of the advantages of LC/NC, common myths that many #JDE customers may have heard and what to look for when evaluating platforms such as integration capabilities, scalability, data ownership, holistic UX and more. CE's AtomIQ was one of the featured platforms across common use cases such as internal business applications, customer and partner portals, and core systems. Next, during our session on Mobility, Workflows and Notifications using AtomIQ, Jonathan Cobb, Regional Solutions Director; Arun Chhatpar, Solution Architect, and Nitin demo'd multiple exciting use cases such as PO Approval, PO Receipt, Item Availability, CAM - Labor Hours, Pallet Images/BOL, Notification Center and Cycle Count with RFID. AtomIQ is truly an amazing platform enabling users to unleash the power of data anytime, anywhere, anyhow and I was so excited to see it in action!

Then, a customer story featuring Michelle Hasna, Business Systems Analyst at Hadrian. Hadrian is a worldwide supplier of quality partitions and locker products with four North American manufacturing locations and 200 employees. We learned that Hadrian had been processing cycle counts through the distribution of scheduled batch reports and recounts required the redistribution of these reports which cost the team a lot of time and effort. With #LCNC technologies such as Orchestrator and AtomIQ, Hadrian was able to realize a mobile warehouse management system that improved data accuracy, streamlined processes and improved traceability.

Another customer story featured Simon Streeter, CIO at First Capital REIT. First Capital owns, operates and develops 22.3 sq m ($10.1b) of grocery-anchored open air centers in 147 neighborhoods across Canada. They have been using JD Edwards since 2005 and recently upgraded to E1 9.2.5 along with a migration to Azure. Simon and CE's Tonio Thomas shared several of First Capital's intelligent automation use cases with Orchestrator, RPA, low-code solutions and database platforms.

Tonio Thomas, Director Cloud & Technology Services, presented several other sessions throughout the week. During JDE Bolt-Ons, we explored ERPSign?for integrated eSignature workflows within JDE, AtomIQ for rapidly building & deploying mobile apps, Smart Scheduler?for advanced batch job scheduling automation and Smart Build?for package build automation. All of these products integrate near seamlessly with JDE, so there is little to no learning curve for users – delivering “instant ROI”!

We continued exploring Document Management and eSignature Workflows with Orchestrator, ERPSign & More during a very popular session which highlighted the tools, technologies and approaches #JDE customers are leveraging to manage high volumes of documents and digitize paper-based processes.

Next, Harness the Power of Server Manager APIs and Offline Orchestrations including how to take advantage of Orchestrator automation capabilities to simplify E1 maintenance procedures and Leverage the Power of O365 to Supercharge Your JDE Investment where we explored use cases with PowerBI, SharePoint, Teams, etc.

The week finished with Streamline and Simplify Your Financial Close led by Harshal Sheth, Director of Pre-Sales and Functional Support and discovering UX One Tips, Tricks and Hidden Gems with Saravana Kumar, Director of JDE Practice Strategy & Innovation. This conference was a?fun and enjoyable?way to reconnect with the JDE community and I can’t wait to do it again next year at Blueprint 4D, May 7-10 in Dallas and InFocus, September 30-October 2 in Denver.
