The Influential Nonprofit: Managing Conflict

Master the art of influence and raise more money without feeling rejected or pushy!
You can only lead as far as you've healed
A few years ago, I made a shift in my business.?
I realized it wasn't the right message or plan that was keeping people from communicating effectively. That was part of it, sure, but not the most critical part.
What was keeping them from communicating effectively was their ability to lead with confidence, to be more visible and to manage conflict. Because when you raise your profile with your marketing, you will be more seen, looked to for leadership and could face criticism.?It wasn't the right message, it was the right mindset that was holding them back from reaching their goals.
I then moved my business model to help individuals become more confident in their leadership and communication skills FIRST so they are ready to step into higher visibility. And the more ready they were for that right marketing message and plan.
Change happens from in the inside out. We can't lead others past our own growth. Good leaders value continued growth because they know they can't lead past their own development.?
That is why I was so excited to talk with Jennjenn Becker in this week's episode of The Influential Nonprofit. She?helps teams and leaders solve conflict, cultivate communication and create empowered teams. Through working with her, people learn to navigate conflict, improve communication and lead more successfully.?
Jenn dropped the biggest knowledge bomb when she said this.?
“You can only lead as far as you've healed.”
BAM! Your healing drives your leadership. That's why Jenn does what she does, and why I moved my business to grow internal leadership and communication skills before the external ones.

Jenn shares some incredible wisdom on navigating conflict and building stronger teams.?
“You can’t lead anybody else until you lead yourself. Self-leadership involves ruthless self-honesty and generous self-compassion. The way you?marry those two together is curiosity.”?
In case no one has told you yet today, you are awesome.
