Influencing Tomorrow's Cyber Leaders
"An investment in knowledge pays the best interest." – Benjamin Franklin
Tonight, I begin teaching the new Honors Security Management Capstone for Collin College. I developed this course based off of the excellent material provided by Rick Brunner, CISSP , who has probably influenced more young cyber minds in the metroplex than anyone, except may Phillip Wylie . (Never forget to give that man his due!)
Rick built a quite comprehensive class to guide young minds to be cyber leaders. I have taught that class 5 or 6 times and decided to take it over as he starts his retirement plans and then Ervin F. decided it was time to take the next level with an honors program. So I took Rick's class, the best I have ever seen, and tried to figure out how to make it MORE.
So here is what we have added to Rick's course:
If this isn't the best program in the country for learning to be a CISO, as a neophyte to the role, I cannot imagine what is. Wish those first 10 students luck. I am going to push them to be something special!

2 年Scott, thank you for the kind words. I co-developed the BAT Capstone with Ervin Frenzel, Director of Cybersecurity at Collin. Collin's BAT Capstone is unique for any institution offering a 2 or 4-year degree in Cybersecurity. Just my opinion.
