Begin with seeding your product to influencers and ask for nothing in return.
Do this by reaching out to influencers via DM on IG, communicating to them that they represent everything your brand believes in and that you think they would love your product(s).
Follow this up with asking them for their shipping address so you can ship your product to them- NO STRINGS ATTACHED!
Over the next month, see which influencers posted organically out of everyone you seeded.
From there, re-engage with these select, brand advocates, especially the ones who have great video content creation ability.
At this point, reconnect with this set of influencers and see if they’d be interested in a more official partnership that entails specific services/deliverables- content creation, posting, etc.
Not only will this enable your team to identify influencers that are authentic lovers of your brand but also, you will experience significant discounts when circling back with them when applying this method of beginning a relationship on giving instead of asking.
