Slag balls generally need to be removed by dry suspension separation or wet sedimentation separation after fiberization, but there is no good separation method for slag balls with small length and diameter.

Regulations on slag content

The national standard ceramic fiber has clear regulations on the content of slag balls.

The national standard stipulates that the slag ball content of ceramic fiber blankets with a temperature resistance level below 1000 ℃ is ≤ 25%, the slag ball content of ceramic fiber blankets with a temperature resistance level below 1450 ℃ is ≤ 20%, and the slag ball content of ceramic fiber products below 1700 ℃ is ≤ 5%. %, so when determining the bulk density of ceramic fiber products, the content of slag balls should be fully considered.
