Inflection Point: The AKYLADE Roadmap

Last time I told you about Akylade: Why we started a new certification company, what problems we’re trying to solve, and a sneak peek at our roadmap.

And you responded!

I want to share some of the responses I got with you:

  • A cybersecurity hiring manager said: “Super excited for you guys and for this launch. It’s much needed. =)”
  • An individual contributor told me: “This is phenomenal news, Kip! I am trying to gain mastery of the NIST CSF and become more proficient at IT Risk Management as a professional. I’ll be following any updates on this please and will be eagerly anticipating the launch of these training and associated certs.”
  • Another cybersecurity hiring manager told me: “I want to get my team certified on the Critical Security Controls, but the only training is the $8500 per head version via SANS - way too expensive. And we wonder why it’s hard to find qualified candidates…”
  • Here’s a comment from an educator who teaches in the Asia/Pacific region: “This is great news and a step forward, especially for those professionals who need to raise money for most certification exams.”

We’re clearly addressing a serious problem in the marketplace.

Here’s what’s next:

  • The Kindle version of our official Cyber Resilience textbook is available right now; grab your copy at?https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CCXV9616
  • Hardcover and softcover versions will be released later next week.
  • We’re looking for 100 people to take the Cyber Resilience Fundamentals beta exam; you should have seen that invitation by now so check your junk folder if you haven’t seen it yet.
  • We will launch version 1 of the Cyber Resilience Fundamentals certification exam on Tuesday, September 5th.
  • Our tentative date for launching version 1 of the Cyber Resilience Practitioner cert is Monday, November 6th.

I’m super excited to be so close to launching our first certification!

And, yes, I really do read every message you send.

By the way...

Last Monday I dropped off my ten-year-old daughter at her first overnight summer camp.

She’ll be gone for a week, which is the longest she’s ever been away from our family.

Of course, she was nervous.

But also excited, in part because she knew at least three other campers among the couple hundred who will be there.

What an amazing rite of passage for her.

Can’t wait to hear all about her big adventure!

My friend who helped write the first exam for this new certification told me you got him a paperback of the book and he made it into an autographed copy for his mom. That’s so heartwarming! ??
