In this candid interview, Thameem shares insights into his daily routine, leadership style, and the values that guide his work at Infiniti.

Q1. What’s something you do every morning that helps you stay focused and productive throughout the day?

I start my day with a 15-minute prayer, followed by 30 minutes of walking. I also practice gratitude for what I have and set aside 10 minutes every morning to plan my day. This routine helps me stay focused and grounded throughout the day.

Q2. What keeps you motivated to keep pushing for new ideas and improvements in your work?

I am deeply motivated by our MD, Ananth Narasimhan Sir. His recent speech on the "Valarchi" plan during the manager meeting inspired me to set more ambitious, goal-driven targets and push for continuous innovation in my work.

Q3. What’s one key thing you believe every great leader should do to build a strong and motivated team?

Listening is key. A great leader understands the importance of hearing their team’s ideas, concerns, and feedback. This builds trust and creates a collaborative environment where everyone feels valued.

Q4. How do you handle a difficult or unproductive day and turn it around?

On tough days, I take a step back and give myself a short break to reset. Reflecting on what’s blocking my progress helps me regain focus and approach the challenges with a fresh perspective.

Q5. If you were to write a book about your career, what would you call it and why?

I’d call it "Navigating with Purpose." With a clear purpose, every challenge becomes an opportunity for growth. It’s important to stay true to your goals and adapt as you go.

Q6. What’s one life lesson you’ve learned from working at Infiniti?

Collaboration is essential. No one achieves great things alone, and working together often leads to the best solutions. I am grateful for the cooperation and dedication of my product team at Infiniti.

Q7. If you could give one piece of advice to aspiring UX/UI designers, what would it be?

Stay curious. The best designs come from those who ask questions and continuously seek to understand the user’s needs. It’s curiosity that drives innovation.

Q8. What’s an activity or hobby you enjoy outside of work, and how does it influence your leadership approach?

I am passionate about parenting, and I strive to support my daughter’s growth and happiness. Similarly, fostering the professional development of my team members helps me become a better leader and mentor.

Q9. If you could switch roles with anyone for a day, inside or outside the company, who would it be and why?

I would switch roles with a customer support manager. Understanding customer pain points firsthand would give me invaluable insights to improve our product and enhance the overall user experience.

Q10. If you could learn any new skill outside of work, what would it be and why?

I’d like to learn AI-related skills for Product Designers. Integrating AI into our product will help keep it up-to-date and enhance customer satisfaction, which is vital in today’s competitive landscape.
