The Infinite Resource

The Infinite Resource

When we think of resources most of the time the conversation is around the limits.?

We only have so many hours in a day.?

We only have so much money.?

We only know so many people.?

Etc, etc. Amen.?

You have likely had a conversation at some point in the past few hours about limited resources.?

Ex) "Sorry, we're sold out"?But one of the things that is not talked about is the fact that we have an infinite resource at our disposal.?

Everyone has access to it and everyone gets to own as much of it as they want.?

In the next 24 hours, you could use this resource as many times as you want to get the things that you want.?

I've used it to make sales, secure investments, become a guest on podcasts, meet amazing people and the list goes on and on.?

So what is this magical resource??

It's not a CrapGPT.?

It's not blockchain.?

It's as old as time itself.?

It's Action

Yep.?

At any moment you can DO SOMETHING and depending on what you do, you could have what you want faster.?

But here's the catch.?

You need to DECIDE what to do.?

Yes, you can learn from others, but ultimately you'll need to come up with your own permutation to get the result you want.?

When I was learning how to be a teacher they introduced us to the P.A.R. model which stands for Plan, Act, Reflect.?

The idea was that you created your lesson plan, taught it, and then reflected afterward on how well it went for you.?

BUT you couldn't reflect if you didn't teach the lesson.?

Often when I meet folks who are stuck in a rut, they share with me that they have exhausted their limited resources.?

The resource that is ignored is action.?

When I introduce the idea of action I get lots of people who tell me that they have THOUGHT about doing something, but thinking about what will happen doesn't give us any useful data.?

When they DO something that's when we have something to work with.?

Doing creates data.?

Data will help you see trends, identify patterns, and spot opportunities.?

So over to you.?

Are you feeling scarce on one of your resources right now??

If so, have you tried tapping into your infinite resource??

If not, it may be time to "do" something about it ;)?

Excelsior!?

Hmmm.. this one has really got me thinking, Michael Roderick! Especially for those of us who suffer from decision paralysis at times and just don't want to make a decision until we know it's the RIGHT decision... but inaction can be the worst decision of them all!

Such a unique perspective!!! Action honestly is so important. Even if a small act! (Also a massive fan of Simon's book the infinite game)

So true!! It’s all about taking action. I created a new offer on Monday and already have two people who said yes either way three more calls tomorrow. I’ve learned the value of just do it ?? and know I will figure out the details as I go.

What a great perspective Michael Roderick! Action probably is the most underrated resource. When you act it also builds momentum. Just keep going!

The penultimate piece to the puzzle that ensures results can be achieved - is, as you so astutely point out - action. There's planning, there's all the prep. BUT the thing that matters to catalyze it all is the actions you take. Love this Michael Roderick
