It's not a political statement that I make. I have genuinely wondered how such historic upheavals have happened. What lies behind such astounding wins!
Are there any leadership slash management slash business lessons in the ‘Talib-AM’ saga that businesses can use.
Is it the complete devotion to a goal.
Think about it, how many of us even have a clear goal, no worries, if it’s all about money, the Axe clicks or any of the ‘base-desires’ or a goal to change the world. How many of us do not shift goal, disturbed by the promotion that we didn’t get or got it late, lost increment to the virus or even death of a dear!
How to choose such a goal?
When one, physical, social or legal entity, chooses a goal that is bigger than it; the goal becomes ‘transcendental’.
This ‘X-power’ melts everything around that goal. The rewards of achievement also have no consequence; the quest becomes the reward!
Simon Sinek calls it ‘Being the infinite player’.?
One keeps moving towards his goal and keeps creating, small, medium and big, along the way and these creations are the reward. None comes in the way:
1)?????What is the revenue/profit?

2)?????What is my increment/promotion?
3)?????What will be my next car/house/exotic holiday?
4)?????How are my competitors(neighbors) performing/earning?
5)?????What will my mother-in-law think?
In fact, these become incidental to the pursuit of ‘The Goal’.
So, create a transcendental goal;
i)???????????????????A goal that has no direct benefit for you
ii)??????????????????The goal is to benefit others
iii)????????????????You are not a part of the reward quadrant
iv)????????????????Hence you have no pressure
And that’s when time expands; there is no hurry! That is when you slow-down and use the biggest gift to mankind, Brain. That is when you hit the beta zone of creation and create things that really go a long-way, are historic and are ever-evolving.
