The Infinite Circle

The sun rises and falls each day

Birth and death on replay

Signifying day and night

Faith with you on your daily plight

The caterpillar lives within the butterfly and they are but one

Just like the rays that reach out from the sun

The caterpillar has to die

To release it's Soul to fly

High into the skies the magical butterflies rise

The human spirit is the same

It walks the earthly plain

And then one day

It’s time to die

Releasing it's spirit into the sky

Leaving it’s body - a hollow shell

A flame snuffed out by a shadow from hell

Opening a world of pain

Longing to see your loved ones face again

Hard for those that get left behind

Love and grief both intertwined

Enchanting and mesmerising the whole cycle of life and death

The infinite circle that continues to flow

Living then ebbing away

A sense of loss on replay

So painful and strong

But in the end we all carry on

Reunited for a moment - to pay our last respects

Then back on the treadmill of life

No time for regrets

Tears of love and memories made

Falling like raindrops down your face

Raw emotion escapes

The sermon loud and true

Each poignant word - you feel it resonating with you

You take your time to reflect -your special stories in your mind

Precious moments stored safely in your heart - knowing the beauty of life has played it's part

Promising yourself to begin living

And savouring the now

Enjoying the gift of the present

The beauty of each new born day

Grateful for being and doing things your way

Thankfully

Not knowing when it will be your turn

To spread your wings and fly away xx
