5 年Absolutely ! Around the time my 1st Son was born, my brother (from another mother) suggested.. "The best gift you can give your Son is a library card...." I came to appreciate his wisdom and today both my Sons, Harley 12 and Zandar 9 are prolific, some would say voracious readers. How has this helped them, well. My base of reference is that I've never been much of a reader, I'm an audio book and podcast kinda guy. I've coached kids competitive sports and life skills for over a couple decades... Book reading has definitely help shape my boys character and knowledge. Their ability to switch off from the world, calm down into a book when they're moody, and even dive into a book rather than being sucked into the world of gaming or random screen time AND, they're developing such a knowledge base on many different topics... I'd have to say, these are some of the reasons why I think developing the reading habit is so beneficial for kids and families.... Although, I'll stick to my podcasts and audio books hint... develop the reading habit early!
