The Infatuation Gets Acquired

In early January of 2015, Chris Stang reached out to see if we might be interested in helping with his restaurant reviews platform called The Infatuation. The funny thing was that we had just finished putting out a version of how we thought food reviews could be done (which is actually what led him to us). When I saw his approach and what he had been able to accomplish up to that point, I knew he was on to something special and we essentially scrapped our idea and started working with him and his team.?

Chris was able to do something in a market that I always thought would work but wasn't exactly sure how the execution would be able to be pulled off - especially in the restaurant space. Quality content matched with great photography - I mean really well written content that has personality and is genuine. A voice you can trust. The Infatuation did exactly that.?And they created a powerful voice that many knew they could trust. Especially, some of us "want to be foodies" that need a way to impress.

With a relationship that has now lasted close to seven years, I am grateful that Chris reached out and gave us an opportunity. They have been a great partner where we have been inspired, learned a ton and challenged each other through an exciting venture.?

Having companies we work with get acquired is nothing new. Our first client (Tumblr) actually started the trend and it is one of those things as a founder of Mobelux where I have gotten a lot of satisfaction in seeing how we have been able to help companies increase in value with quality design, product strategy and software development. So when I heard the news that JPMorgan Chase had acquired The Infatuation, it just made sense.?And with over a decade of hard work, Chris and Andrew have definitely earned this.

So congrats to The Infatuation team and here's to many more years of success in creating a product that simply makes life better.

Garrett, thanks for sharing!
