Industry Insight NO.5 | Leisure Vehicles in Germany: A Divided Image In The First Quarter
The new registration figures of the caravanning sector show a divided picture in the first quarter: In the first three months, the caravan sector, with a total of 5,291 new registrations, is about 5.1 percent below the result of the same period last year, but is also at a solid level in March with 2,893 new registrations (-4.3 percent).
The motor caravan segment recorded 9,108 new registrations in March, an increase of 6.6 percent compared to the previous year. Overall, the division closes the first quarter with an increase of 5.7 percent (18,479 units). In motor caravan production, manufacturers are benefiting from improved availability of vehicle chassis at the start of the year.
