Surface Preparation for SBIP Coatings

Proper surface preparation is essential for optimal results.

Steps:

1. Ensure the surface is clean and free of dust, grease, and loose particles.
2. The surface can be damp but not saturated.
3. Apply one coat of SBIP-Black Primer, diluted with water at a ratio of 1:2, to prepare the surface.
4. Stir SBIP-B well before use.
5. Depending on the required protection, apply 1-2 coats of SBIP-Black coating.

Application Method in 5 Simple Steps

1. Apply the first coat of SBIP-B Primer on a prepared surface and let it dry.
2. Once the primer is completely dry, apply the first coat of SBIP-B.
3. For added strength, embed Glass Fibre Reinforcement into the first coat while it’s still wet.
4. Apply the second coat after the first coat has fully dried.
5. Clean all tools and brushes with water immediately after use.

Dilution Guidelines:

• 1st coat: Dilute SBIP-B up to 15-25% for optimal coverage.
• 2nd coat: Dilute SBIP-B up to 10-15%.
