1.Background

As global agriculture moves towards large-scale, intensive, and automated development, the concept of industrial agriculture is becoming a key driving force for agricultural modernization and industrial transformation. Grounded in technological innovation, market demand, and supply chain integration, industrial agriculture is injecting new vitality into the agricultural sector.

Against this backdrop, the 2024 Global Technology Transfer Conference · Industrial Agriculture Industry Innovation Forum, under the theme “Innovation Leading the Future, Industrial Agriculture Empowering The The Belt and Road’s Transformation and Upgrading,” aims to build an integrated service ecosystem centered on international technology trade and cooperation along The The Belt and Road Initiative Initiative, with a focus on talent-driven solutions. The forum will feature a comprehensive range of activities including fund launches, results showcases, supply-demand matching, partnership signings, talent training, keynote speeches, roundtable discussions, and technology manager exhibitions, all designed to accelerate the adoption of the industrial agriculture concept in promoting agricultural modernization and industrial upgrading.

The National Technology Transfer Eastern Center is a national regional technology transfer platform jointly promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, guided by the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, and coordinated by the Shanghai Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Center. On April 23, 2015, Wan Gang, then Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Minister of Science and Technology, and Zhou Bo, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, jointly unveiled it.

It is committed to providing full-chain services in technology transactions, technology finance, and industrial incubation, opening up channels for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements between universities, scientific research institutions, and enterprises, building a platform-based, internationalized, market-oriented, capitalized, and professional fourth-party platform, creating an innovative ecological system for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and helping Shanghai build a "scientific and technological innovation center with global influence".

Shanghai Eastern Technology Achievement Transformation Co., Ltd. is the operating entity of the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center. It will take Shanghai Bay Valley Science and Technology Park as a core, radiate two major international and domestic technology transfer market channels, form a three-layer operating structure with guidance from governments at all levels, management by platform companies, and operation by market-oriented enterprises, and gather the collaborative strength of four major corporate units to jointly promote the construction of the National Technology Transfer Eastern Center.

Shanghai Agricultural Science and Technology Service Center is a fully funded institution directly under the Shanghai Municipal Agriculture Committee. It was established in 2000. The Shanghai Agricultural Science and Technology Service Center is mainly responsible for conducting policy research related to the development of agriculture through science and technology, organizing and implementing agricultural science and technology development plans; responsible for the daily management of the city's science and technology development projects; organizing relevant units to carry out agricultural science and technology promotion and achievement transformation and application, and promoting the construction of agricultural science and technology innovation system and agricultural technology promotion system.

In addition, the Shanghai Agricultural Science and Technology Service Center actively participates in the transformation and transaction of agricultural science and technology achievements, promotes the smooth transformation of scientific and technological achievements into actual productivity through effective achievement transformation models, and promotes the sustainable and healthy development of scientific and technological achievement transformation work by taking achievement transformation as one of the important indicators of project performance evaluation, and actively promotes diversified cooperation models, deepens services, and provides all-round support for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
